Baby P. I.D.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yeah that place is shifty. i use to work there, nice people, surprisingly knowledgeable, but expensive and many tanks are in terrible condition. but many are in good condition as well. but the piranha tank with 3, 12" fish in a 40 tall, is not. i always stop in as well when im around but rarely buy anything. and if anyone else reads this post its worth a stop.

what kinda fish are you in to, ballin?

So what kind of piranhas are those since you have insider info? Ternatzi? Just murky water making RBP look exotic or something more?
Still a good place aside from being crowded and the PS being crammed in that tank.

I currently keep nothing but piranhas and the convicts and shrimp I breed for them to eat.

not sure what kind they were. they were never in good enough condition to be id'd. they had jacked up jaws with only a few teeth left, missing fins, gashes, and velvet usually somewhere. i always assumed they were rbps though.

cool i love ps too. i have a 300 gal rb pond that im hoping will spawn anyday here and i have a 5" gold spilo that needs a home if youre interested.

Second largest Ps I've ever seen....whatever they are. Hilarious that you don't know what they are lol.

I've got no where to put anything right now. Sorry

Must be fun feeding a pond?

haha yeah, im conditioniong right now at 84f too so the 9 rbp in there go through alot! hopefully they spawn soon :)

update pics of the baby's as soon as i can get good ones.

wow, they already know what a camera phone is. and they have lost their fearless demeaner.

pic 1, definitely a rbp, don't you guys think?

pic 2, look at that forhead!!! that doesnt look very rbp to me. looks more serra but idk, never seen a serra that small in person.

pic 3, shows the obvious difference.

but the one with the more angular head has grown the fastest so far.

Tiny, but don't look like tiny rbp I've seen. I have seen rbp as small as a dime and they look like spotted silver dollars, and these look different, what they are I have no idea. The reason you don't see baby blacks is they don't breed in aquariums, so they are wild caught. Could be blacks, may just have to wait, they look fat and healthy though

Agreed, baby redbellys look like spotted silver dollars. You definitely got something else.

Edit. I didnt notice the second set of pics you posted. They do appear more like rbp now but with slight variations. Needs more time to grow. Either way they look healthy.
