What size tank do you have them in and how many in the tank?

they are in a 30g tank just the one pair -no dithers i keep this tank dark , and have lots of artificial plants for cover. the bottom as you can see is sand w/oak leaves on top.

I see why you like little fish. Nothing better than seeing a fish and thinking to yourself, "that is a big tank for that fish." My friend recently purchased some apisto caquatoides "orange flash". Awsome fish and I think he sparked the apisto thing with me again. I will keep them again soon.

your absolutely right i love having oversived tanks for my fish , i have 110g fully planted jungle and to me my 5" keyholes look to big for it . i don't like to just keep fish alive , i like to have them thrive and have more of an environment than a jail cell.

So do you use RO or are they in your tap (what are the params). I have wanted to try and spawn those but could never find any. Some day I will find some and see if I can make it happen.

they are kept in pure r/o filtered through peat and kept at 80f(temp. is key to good health)
ph~5 water changed at a rate of 20% 2-3 times a week . jeff rapps has some for sale

man thats tight. I remember when I got my comps to breed but have yet to get any of the big dogs to even peacefully pr up...

do you sell your fish to a lfs or others at all?

i plan to . i've been a hobbyist for about 18 years , but only gotten very serious about it ~2 years ago and finally bought a house in which i could build a proper fish room about 6 months ago. since then i've been breeding apistos like crazy , and they are just now getting of a saleable size. i've talked to lots of fish store managers about buying my fish and almost all seem interested , so i'll probobly go that route . i may sell on aquabid too.
