Neat looking fish for sure. The only things that stick out as odd are the white color, and how the middle bar doesn't come to a sharp point. It does sweep back though, and taper off a bit, but aren't these bars on a Pulcher supposed to come to a point?

I also see that "bulge" at the top of the 4th bar...

The odd White colour could be result of handling the fish out of water.Need to see it in the water.
I have seen STs with pale White colour , usually when they are kept in very light coloured tanks with White backgrounds.
The bulge is only very very slight. The body shape looks more ST than undo and
the tail marks are ST.

The middle bar does not taper to a point. It definatly looks like the Cambodian tigers which u posted on post 65.

I'm sorry to say this but what puts me off about you as a vendor is you posted a picture of a blatant 3 bar indo asking for ID. That means you're thinking it was D. Pulcher and you weren't sure. Now you're posting a picture of another fish (which is nice by the way) and are adamant that it is D. pulcher.

If you don't know 3 bar indo from D. pulcher how do you know d. pulcher from indo? Basically your judgment with other peoples money can't be trusted.

CC, I'm no vendor. I know the differences but it seem as is everybody have a different definition true widebar datnoid. First they ask for the two big bars, then tail strip, then the color. Its crazy.

I would like you to know the whole story and then jump on the discussion. I wanted to sale one of my friend vietnamese datnoid and all of the sudden a couple guy stating that i'm selling Siamese Datnoid! I just wanted to show them that there is such thing as Vietnamese Datnoid. Nothing more...

Ok sorry, and for the record i do believe there are d. pulcher being caught and sold from both Vietnam and Cambodia. I just believe they are in very limited numbers and will sell for a lot more that 400$ a pop before they even leave Asia.

If you know the differences, why not share some of your expertise for the sake of the thread, and stop posting pics for IDing?

Nevermind :duh:

double post

if people check out my pics i have a very white/yellow true ST, D pulcher so you can get them almost white, colour is not really a thing you can go by.
and another thing people are going on about these fish being ST, you need to debate whether they are D pulcher and not ST as they are not from Thailand.
