I'd be afraid that the Convicts would kill the feeders rather than eat them, and the ammonia spike would kill the Convicts. Doesn't the OP have his Convicts in a 10g? If so, I'd be REALLY worried.

And where are you coming from saying he doesn't know what he's doing your a 14 year old child, this is why we need age limits. I'm sorry I got off track yes thefishmaster has issues with his tank, but instead of making rude comments such as that, try helping in a positive way explain the problem and give him some possiable solutions. i agree with jaws 19. not so much on the age limit because im not one for bashing someones age because i have met some pretty smart 14 year olds.and a few youngsters have helped me on here. and besides i believe there is an age limit and it is 14. but you guys need to realize that when a post like this goes up, you should not instantly attack him the way people on this site have been doing to people lately. offer ADVICE. this isnt a game called i told you so, nor is it a a place to come get picked on because of lack of experience that is why we are here. for help and to share experiences and advice.. explain to him that feeders are not a good primary food source, not only for convicts but for any species. because they lack nutrients that fish need to thrive, and that the pellet and flakes available along with other options are much more beneficial to the animal. also at least he was worried about his fish eating while he was away. i cant tell you how many people i know that go on vacation and come back to a tank full of dead fish. just give the kid a break and if you dont have something NICE TO SAY to help him or encourage him, QUIT WORRYING ABOUT YOUR POST COUNT AND LEAVE THE THREAD. its actually very simple.

All joking aside, Its very discouraging to see these comments. Some people don't have the same knowledge, and are grateful when you politely point something out to them. Who knows while he might not know X about Y he might know a ton about Z, what if you needed to know about Z but you chased him off?
I can only assume people that make these comments went into the pet store for the first time as experts; and never did anything stupid. I have done enough stupid things to be labeled a mass murder of fish. I know that I have more to learn everyday, as do everyone else on here. I bet if you asked OddBall if he knew everything, he wold admit he still has a lot to learn.
