Back in the game!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well waiting close to 2 months I couldn't track down a xingu to my size and liking so upgraded to a 75 and decided to go with discus. Piranhas will be in my future. It's sad not many importers of nice rhoms had to rely on only 1 importer and couldn't come thru

most likely you'll sell those discus and get that xingu you've always wanted. I know a lot of people get bored with their piranhas but for me it's the only fish I will never get tired of regardless of what specie it is. I always need to have at least one tank running at all times with a piranha/piranhas in it.

Is this a good deal? This guy is fairly well known in my area for keeping really cool stuff. Seems to keep everything very healthy.

^^^that is definitely an excellent deal, looks like a perfect specimen...not unless there's a chin bump that he didn't include in the pic lol. I really love the color of xingu rhoms. I know rhoms should be jet black in color but there's just something about xingus...

Yea 200 is a good price like addiction said make sure it doesnt have a bad chimple. If it does have a bad chimple I personally wouldnt buy it. Small chimple can go away with a big enough tank and clean water but at some point they get pretty bad that there is no turning back

About 3.5 inches getting settled in the Blackwater has def helped

Temp- 77 to lower aggression
Filters- 2 aquaclear 110s and 2 sponge filters for added bio if power goes out for a decent amount of time.
Pothos for nitrate absorbtion.
Waterchange schedule 75% weekly with 7 large almond leaves.
Feeding- once a day with garlic guard..shrimp/tilapia/silversides.... tried twice but they hardly even touch second feeding.
