After a summer filled with madness, I'm starting everything up once again. Plus after a terrible incident, I was pretty close to quitting the hobby...but that's a different story.
As a few know, I kept a 6" Brook Trout last year for a little while, until the filter stopped working and the tank went down-hill while being away from home. Great looking fish, definitely a native favorite.
I said that I would try it again, as challenges are always fun, lol. SO I decided to pickup two 4" Trout (Brown & Brook) and try once again. One week later, so far so good. Water is about 65degrees F, and water changes are being kept up to. Eating feeder guppies, earthworms, and pellets so far.
The Brook did have signs of fin-rot on his dorsal fin, which now seems to be healing up well. Might be picking up another soon...just because. :) Still a great fish, can't wait until they're larger.

That's a pretty cool idea. How big of an aquarium would an adult specimen need?

Thanks! At least 125-Gallons, IMO. Fast swimming, like their space. Probably setting up a coldwater pond/stock tank for them once they grow larger.
nice do you know what kind they are?
Brook Trout and a Brown Trout...couldn't afford the Tiger Trout...lol.
