love the trout... really cool fish to have. Unless I'm mistaken, I don't see the brown trout... looks like two brookies to me.

I can't disagree, as their patterns seem fairly similar. However, the coloring is different between the two; I can tell that the one is for sure a Brook, but the other has me confused I suppose. Brown Trout juvi coloring? Here are some crappy shots I just ran and took. That's what I've been thinking as well, but I didn't want to start another argument. I mean, I'm only surrounded by hundreds of lakes, rivers, and streams full of trout, I'm probably not very good at id's.
Any chance we could get some updated pics?

That's kind of what I figured from the start, but o'well, lol. The one with more color is definitely more dominant, much more aggressive than the other. As long as they're well fed, and water changes are done fairly frequently, they seem to do just fine. I know that last one I had died after the filter had stopped running, and the water quality went down hill. Hopefully the same doesn't happen for these too! I'll keep posting updates as time goes on of course. They're both brooks. The difference in coloring could be because of gender or dominance. Browns will have a light background with dark spots, brookies have a dark background with light spots. Two brooks may work out better long-term anyway, and they look awesome! I have to admit, when you first got them I didn't have much confidence in their survival, but they're looking good!
Thanks! They look great! Nice updates. They both look like brooks to me as well.
There might be plans for a chiller in the future, but right now, I have nothing. I've contacted a few friends about getting one, and did get a reply from one in the area who might be able to give me his, but we'll see of course.Any plans for a chiller? I know they are doin good now, but I'm thinking long term they may really benefit from one.
Thank you.Awesome fish thanks for the update pics.
