this is a thread for people to post the kinds of wildlife they see in their backyards or neighborhoods.
I'll start,

Reptiles/Amphibians
bullfrogs
gray tree frogs
american toads
eastern garter snakes
ribbon snakes

Birds
cardinals
blue jays
robins
sparrows
mourning doves
finches
mocking birds
chickadees
goldfinches
woodpeckers
nuthatches
red-tail hawks

Mammals
gray squirrels
eastern chipmunks
mice
skunks
opossums
raccoons

also i just found out that a large black bear was spotted less than 1/2 a mile from my house earlier this week, which is a pretty big deal for a residential neighborhood

I live in the city so not too much here

Mammals
Grey squirrels
chipmunks
Cotton Tails
White Tail Deer

Birds:
Cardinals
Common Crows
Black capped chickadees
Purple finches
Downy woodpecker
Robins
Nuthatches
Some type of very small finch like bird I haven't been able to ID yet.

I also live in the city but there are plenty of snakes in my backyard and I even come across a salamander every now and then. There are raccoons and opossums which come out of where ever they hide at night.

Bears are a nuisance and sometimes raid the garbage cans and strew the garbage everywhere. Raccoons used to come and eat the outside cat's food. We trapped five coons who are now park rangers in a nearby national park. There are skunks and deer around here. We've only seen a fox one time on our patio. Fishermen pull salmon and trout from the river below us.
