BAD ASS DEVILS

nice fish. Are they both suposed to be males or is the red one a female?what other fish are in tank with them how big a tank and how many other fish are there?
The red one is female the white is the male. They are suprisingly unaggressive. have them in a 300 with some smaller cichlids. 5" dovii. convict pair. Escondido. Synspilum. a butti. ive had tons of fish before, and the fact that these were in such a huge tank makes me believe thats why they are so easy going. my buddy had them in a 125 for a few months and they got along just fine, even bred them, but the male likes to push the female around, there is so much activity in the tank they seem to keep to themselves they like stay together 98% of the time. the lone offspring i got is mean as hell though. he killed my fh that was 2" bigger than he was overnight. wont let anything in the 90gallon he resides in have a minutes rest. I am gonna spawn them and see what i can get. my buddy had no grow out tank so the lone survivor just got lucky. maybe thats why he is so mean. ill keep ya posted on the situation. Very nice deveils. You say they are not too aggressive. Are they begging to pair if they do drop us a line I would be interested to know if they change their temperment at that time. Nice set-up brother......
STARTING TO SHOW SIGNS OF SPAWNING. The female takes her abuse greatly. Neither of them have even shown the slightest sign of nuclear warfare yet. They dont even mess with the other fish in the tank too often. They seem to like it when they are over in their cave on their side of the tank. ill keep ya posted if i happen to come home and discover a homicide one day. The lone survivor offspring is a whole different story though. He has completely dominated my dovii and flowerhorn i had in my 90glln. Mean ass bastard fish even tries to put it to the plecostomus who is almost twice his size znd quite mean himself.
