Bad morning

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Sorry, the first one hurts pretty bad. Especially when you look at the top after and still wonder how in the heck they got out! Yep, you've been initiated. Get another one, it will make you feel so much happier.

sorry to hear about your loss...that's heartbreaking...mine has been out of the tank twice...the last time he pushed the plastic panel and the 20lbs of plumbers lead right out of the way like it wasn't even there...couldn't believe it!...luckily i was in the room both times he decided to jump...this is the solution i came up with....used a 6' rubber coated wire closet shelf from home depot and some rachet tie down straps....isn't the best looking system but i don't think he can move these...what kind of tank covers does eveyone else use? maybe some ideas on something that looks a little better?

lol That's hilarious, OnTarget45. The 2nd to last pic looks like a prison for your Aro with the reflection from those wires.

I used mesh netting inside, inder the lids. My Aro got out the one darn night I decided to soak it in white vinegar to cleanse they dyes out, the net had been used on a crab boat so I wanted it clean. So then he jumped. Grrrrrrrrr. The cat woke me at 3 am, took 1/2 hr to find the flopper, quite dead by then. The cats never touched it, they ran like hell!

I think someone needs to establish once and for all how much weight is needed and post a sticky so people don't keep losing their aros.
