i was at work and my wife the trooper she was who absolutely hates to touch fish or the fish water scooped him up from behind the tank and put him back in ....
needless to say he was beaten up pretty bad but my wife saved him ! i dont know how many wifes would do this ? but she was a life saver sadly i lost him about 2 months ago, but he was huge !
The impact with the metal grate could hurt the fish.OnTarget45;1049138; said:sorry to hear about your loss...that's heartbreaking...mine has been out of the tank twice...the last time he pushed the plastic panel and the 20lbs of plumbers lead right out of the way like it wasn't even there...couldn't believe it!...luckily i was in the room both times he decided to jump...this is the solution i came up with....used a 6' rubber coated wire closet shelf from home depot and some rachet tie down straps....isn't the best looking system but i don't think he can move these...what kind of tank covers does eveyone else use? maybe some ideas on something that looks a little better?
