try...this worked with my fronts, holding him straight for a couplke of minutes to realign him.
my frontosa did exactly the same then someone told me to do that, so did it, he let out a big (i presume) fart lol then swam off happy as larry...
worth a shot

hows the poor thing doing now? did you try holding him straight to see if any of the trapped air escaped? its worth a shot.. he is by far the biggest jag ive ever seen-very beautiful.

Thanks guys.I didn't have to do that Navygirl. By yesterday arvo he would roll to his right side and float to the top. It didn't look promising. So much that my spouse suggested euthanizing him. I told her "Not a chance. I am giving this guy every chance he has." It's like he knows he has to be straight so he has been wedging him self in an upright position amongst the timber in the tank. A smart fish and there seems to be improvement in his condition today:) He is a little less buoyant and seems to be swimming better. I haven't seen him roll this morning either so that's a good sign at least.:)

He will make it. I have had an aro that wedged itself in the correct position for nearly a week.

And do not hold it. Fish needs everything but the added stress...

To hold them, most of the times facing a powerhead flow is a last resort, when they are near death...in the case of yours I do not advise you d that....

Thanks Miguel. I have left the lights off aswell for stress reasons. I take it your Aro survived?

I would fast him for sure, and the only thing I would feed is sinking foods...NO floating pellets at this time bro.
