so my oscar decided he didnt like my aro and bit a hold of his belly and when i saw it form the couch by the time i got to the tank he was chewing on his head and pectoral fin... worse damage was his belly tho, so far i have been doseing the tank with melafix and pima fix dont know if it strong enough tho .... looks like he has like fuzz or white mold growing on his side unless that his the melafix/pimafix healing him up ... what do you guys think ?

thinking maybe i should try the furan 2 and kanaplex i have here to help heal him up .... ?

IMO i think hes a goner.. I would only use melafix see if it makes any thing better. i always try to stay away from more powerful meds.

no dont you say that ! lol yes he is seperated right now, and i have dose'd with melafix and pimafix for the last 2 days, and also have added salt which im out of now lol...

is the aro active or just kind chillin up at the top of the tank ? cant really tell from the pic are there any bones showing? the main thing right now is to stop it from getting infected.

the white silm/ mold may be he silm coat trying to cover up the bite

dont look like any bones are out no, and ya he mostly just hangs out in the top back corner he does come out and swim around a tad but then hangs out in back corner he usually did that before the attack
 
That looks bad. +1 for salt I hope he makes it but iv seen fish die over less than that.

well its a good start then. atleast he can still swim. tried feeding him?

yea true, i also had a bacterial infection on my oscar when he was 4 or 5" from bashing into a rock and i thought he was a goner but nope i brought him back and he made it ! but other then what im already doing not sure what else to do i used that last bit of salt in the tank yesterday should i just keep doing the melafix/pimafix treatment until sunday/monday (first day of treatment) then do a 50% water change ?
