i didn't know oscars have teeth that cause that extent of damage! Good luck.

I don't think the white fuzz is him healing. If it spreads its an infection. Keep the water clean, use your melafix or salt, clean out leftover food and don't stir up the substrate. Hope he heals up.

Only use melafix or salt. pimafix is for internal parasites and wont really help

Arowana can tolerate temps in the 90's, even your oscar can hang with that. Heat and salt works good, melafix doesn't hurt either. Dosing is 5 ml per 10 gal. as directed. Keep in mind also that warmer water exchanges less oxygen, so airstones could help. Most fish respond well to airstones. It's not so much the bubbles that promotes oxygen exchange, but the agitation of the water surface does. None the less, a little more stimulation wont hurt. Good luck.

Ya I've tried feeding him and he don't wanna touch it as of yet, I'll leave the temp 86 as is and there are 2 air stones and I get plenty of surface aggitation, and well 2morrow I'll only dose with mela fix then I'll stop using the pimafix ... Always thought they we meant o be used 2gether.... Hopefully this other guy comes and gets these oscars come this weekend like he says he is the tiger is starting to get VERY aggressive towards anything in my tank now...

Thanks dude I hope it does too, maybe I'll snap and post a pic come this weekend when I do a water change and we'll see if he looking better or not ... I hope so tho !

Sorry i just saw this thread now. No way the Aro was going to make it, with that kind of wound.

You can only mix aro's of that girth with significant smaller fish.

Once they are monsters, and own the tank, you can put anything with them.

RIP
