another crooked cop.... thats uncommon....NOT!! They are all power tripping losers in high school that try to make a name for themselves....

Actually, it is uncommon. Unfortunately, ignorant people are led by the media to believe crooked cops are very common because most of the stories involving cops that they show negatively portray them.

That's the same mentallity my old roommate had, he never leaves his room and is the most paranoid person I have ever seen!!!!

I have some pretty interesting conversations with the campus police about random things, they're nice guys.

hmm...I don't know about that. I, personally, have had quite a few run-ins with Mr. Johny Law. I haven't met one yet that I thought was a useful tool for society. I have also observed much police activity that was more than questionable. Just pay a little attention...It's there, and not very easy to miss.

Edit: It isn't the officer's fault in every situation. Sometimes it is the system that they work for. It is far from perfect.

I dont think so... there are diffrent levels of crooked... let me give you an example

One night a guy from work was drinking and needed a ride home ... I go and pick him up at 2:30am from his friends house to take him home... I pull into the drive way and get the berrys and cherrys glowing behind me.... fine with me I didn't think I was doing anything wrong... He gives me the tests and talks to my friend (who is 30sommin) and lets him walk inside... meanwhile he guts my car out, finds a can of beer that must have been there for god knows how long and gives me 2 fines.... 1 for trafficing the booze and one for possession of the can.... so does this justify $334? thats being stright up crooked in my book.... ROTTEN PIGS

Well, I agree, that is pretty messed up. Especially since you took a trip to drive an intoxicated person home at 2:30 in the morning.

I guess my whole point is that it really annoys me when people say that all cops are jerks or crooked or "pigs" when they develop this judgement because of a few bad apples. Generalizing is ignorant.

I had a bad experience with a police officer in which he gave me a ticket for doing something that I can guarantee he knew I did not do. That was a crooked cop, and I felt very angry and violated that day. But that experience did not change the fact that I very much so respect the work that most police officers do every day.
