a 20 gal long is perfect and a 30 is fine as well..............balls are very inactive, you'll be fine for a very long time................A 75 gal is insane and a waste of space for a 18'' snake......

forgot to add this its much easy to control the high amounts of humidity balls require in a smaller setup..

Edit............I agree that it is easier to control humidity in a smaller setup ( I have smaller setups for my smaller snakes) but as to balls needing high humidity, not true!!!!
I worded that wrong they dont need high humidy as in rain forest 60 % works i have none in my place from the climate control so my setups require a humid hide and its hard to mantain

Thanks guys. I found a top for the tank in Lincoln. Guess, we will be traveling the 1 1/2 hours to Lincoln tomorrow to buy it.
He quoted me $24 for the lid and clamps. Not bad.

i have done over 12yrs of research. just because they are not particularly active and are shy doesn't mean they benefit from small enclosures, it just means they like their privacy and need to feel secure.
