Nice fish Balton! Def a female. Hey arthur maybe you shouldn't come on so strong next time.

I never realized you had such a beautiful collection of fish, what color and vivid designs ...they all look stunning together.... and good job breeding too...:headbang2

Yeah you kind of messed up my progression thread. :irked: I was going to keep adding to it and keep it going as time goes on. Now it's cluttered with your negative posts and pic. You could have pm'd me first. I worked hard trying to get all those pics together and posting them in sequence to have a nice thread.

Thanks everyone for your comments.

ya nice stuff balton. still a good thread. btw arthur its not only his female festae that looks male but theres been quite a few members on here that were fooled. i also was fooled by my 4 inch festae i thought it was a male going by the typical festae standards and it turned out to be female. not a uncommon thing. keep up the good work and keep us posted.

Nicely Done, Balton My Man.....

Nice thread and fish! I always loved these fish. Do the femals get that red with out a male around? I would like a F but im not looking to breed them. I do want her that red tho...

Man I love festaes. I just picked up some wild ones last week. How many was in your original group? I was told by a true cichlid expert that festaes are like malawis. If you have a small number they're absolutely lethal. But if you overstock them the aggression really spreads itself out.
