nice. i just got 3 festae myself

he is awesome. How big? Is he agressive? I assume it is a male....does he act like a guapote in terms of behavior, predation, etc....? I know they are called "mini guapotes" What is his temperament like?

Actually they're called 'mini dovii'. Yes he's a male, about 7". He seems to be more territorially aggressive than outright aggressive. He'll face off with my Dovii when it comes to territory.

very nice fish Bolton, I also have quite a few f1 festae, but only one male showing its true colors at 3 inches. I was wondering where you got your white saum.
