and it doesnt affect water quality?

just do frequent water changes, twice a week , it does rot after some time if not coated with polyurethane varnish. i didnt coat it, just replace it once it rots. do presoak it as to remove the starchy coating produce by d bamboo

used this for BGK. does anyone use the "lucky" bamboo in tanks, cause i got a tonne of it at home

I have lucky bamboo in my bettas tank. But it is only half submersed and does fine for over a year and a half. My betta feels lucky since the tank is bigger than those little containers at the LFS

I got a bamboo stalk at Petco, the leaves are growing some. I haven't gotten luck though. LOL

Me and a few others all trid Dracenea in our tanks, it ended up rotting when fully submerged. It took a long time though.

I used bamboo a long time ago when I kept my tank water at half full.
