Is it just me...
OR...
It seems like this same type of thread keeps popping up every couple of weeks?

No offense intended...

Lots of these type posts, all over the net.

Why? you may ask, because BAD things need defending, too many people wanna say they're all right. Sure you can show me 100 good dogs/owners to the 1 bad. But with all other breeds the ratio is 1000 to 1.

Really don't care myself, just seems that threads like this are pointless.

Gee...maybe we can debate guns too.:screwy:

This thread is going nowhere like most others. Pit bulls are mean dogs, and they're nice dogs. I'll just satisfy both sides.

I can handle that. I don't really even like seeing threads like these. It kind of puts us pit owners up for attack. I don't really care though. I don't speak for any other pitbull owners besides myself. Anybody can come and see/play with my dog and if you don't like the breed... thats fine. But you can be sure you will have a smile on your face after being with her for a few minutes, and you will like at least one pitbull. She is just like any other well behaved dog you have played with or been around.

I swear to God if they tried to ban pit bulls here in the states I would move somewhere else! I can't even begin to imagine my live without my boys! The end of that second video is awful!

Let's ban guns because stupid people shoot each other. Let's ban fast food, tobacco, and alcohol because stupid people don't know when to say when. Let's ban fast cars because stupid people don't know how to drive their machine safely. Let's ban fish that could survive in the climate they're sold in because stupid people will release them. Let's let stupid people run our lives.

we have a miniture doberman, she was the runt of the litter and was only 480g when we got her at 1.5 years old. she grew up on a horse riding school for children. being that small she was irresistable to kids who often teased and mishandled her. she was viscious as hell and would attack anyone and anything near her bed basket, even our ridgeback who was easily 10 times her size. after about 5 years of care and patience she finally calmed down and is now a friendly dog.

it is the way the dog is treated that dictates how it would act. our ridgeback never got aggressive towards the mini doberman because he was brought up to be gentle.

if you have say 3 dogs, two are gentle as anything, and one foul tempered dog, if the foul tempered dog attacks something, the other two will join in as dogs are instinctively packers. that is the risk of keeping more than one dog.

it is the same with children. you dont get bad children, only bad parents.

here in Portugal now the law say that to have a pit and 7 others breeds , the dog must have a chip whit id, fully ensurence , the owners must have a clean record of crimes and driving drunk, dogs must be on a short handle on the street,
i love pits but my wive doesnt whant one , she says is a very ugly dog:screwy:

i couldnt stand that one dog that had the firecracker strapped to its back...it had a red leash tied around its back legs....sad!!!!!

I have to totally disagree with you on this one. All of the things you listed are totally inanimate objects (other then the fish) that will cause zero harm to anyone unless a human is involved. Pits on the other hand act, react, and think for themselves. Yes the way its raised has tons to do with how the dog acts, however you must admit if the animal wasnt nurtured properly by a human it would act naturally and that is a dangerous thing. And like said before there are alot of dogs out there that are more agressive, especially small dogs but again its like comparing apples and oranges. A bite from a little wienner dog might not require much more then a band-aid where as a large dog such as a pit with those powerful jaws can, and have in the past, put you six feet under.
