It would be a pity if debates were to be discontinued, allthough I understand that sometimes things clearly tend to get out of hand. We should, all of us, try to be more tolerant, more forgiving, and less prone to attacks of a more personal nature..It is in fact ridiculous to become heated in a debate with people you don't know, chances are will never encounter, and take things to personal levels.

And we all incur in the same mistake, even more so, when the issue at hand is an issue we strongly feel about....

We should all ( I mean the debaters, the hot heads, the nervous, the argumentative, the teasers ) rewind and start again...

Anyway...am ready to "debate "this....

i tend to agree...... debating is fun! Sure it can get quite personal at times..... This sounds like a job for the fcc but none of us are non bias with our personal opinions.... so it really is impossible to properly censor everyone....... i enjoy the lounge..... jokes, thought provoking subjects and random rants..... we all have good n bad days...... sometimes it shows in our posts........

it's sad that good argument's, with people makeing good points, and sharing there overal knowledge of life, are sunddently scuttled, by 30y/o+ men, shouting insults like school children.

though it is somewhat entertaining, seeing people makeing jackass's of them selfs, crying for attention, yelling that there never comeing back, but nobody give's a damn.

what would the world be with out conflict though< BORING.

Me too! Im 15 but I dont see much offense. Life takes some joking here and there. You cant possibly expect a perfect world with no making fun of or cursing.

Wait until you get to heaven then you can see that kind of world.

If anyone has ever visited or been part of other forums they do not have the freedom we enjoy here.. it is nice to have the lounge and jump in and talk about anything and everything that occurs to you.. the weather, holiidays, movies and etc..little time out to just get to know each other and form opinions and have discussions.. about anything your heart desires with in a decent range of rules and boundaries.. The point is you do have to remenber this is not a conversation on one on one..this is a group of people ..many different backgrounds and beliefs..so most of us know the basic code of conduct and if we slip up and are reminded don't be offended when a mod has to intervene..just think about what your saying and respect that sometimes we need some brakes.. in our speech and thinking.. but to me the lounge is a little added plus to a great forum.
