i agree but i would like to add sexism to the no no's list! i take being told to go play with my dolly ... very insulting of my sex/age and my intelligence.

as i am someone who is at least as old as your father you might consider that the line "hey baby...oh my what a big one you have" has something to do with the way you are treated......although clearly there are many immature and sexist posters as well.......

I think you are absolutely right.. you do gain knowledge and insight.. and find out how the rest of the world thinks.. And we are not all that different, just different way of looking at the same things..

The one thing that everyone seems to forget is... no one makes a person read or post.. we have a choice to entertain or not to be bothered..if you do not like something just walk away .. just void it out.. theres always somethings you come across that may not be your cup of tea. Ether tolerate and enjoy.. or pass it by .. theres choices galore.. Theres so many factors going on here.. all different ages, all different climates, all different incomes and on and on.. that personally i think MFK is doing a hell of a job keeping it running so smoothly... I just think you have to expect some heated argument once in awhile but to take the lounge away because of a few who abused it would not be right..

I encourage the rights to free speech and expression.

Though "The Lounge" is not aquarium related, it has provided a much needed area for members to share and post other topics and issues which may be an interest to him/her and others.

Overall, this is perhaps one of the most active areas, and that in itself speaks for its significance on any publicly visited forum.

You people are no fun. I started this because of all the controversial threads going on, most of which get closed before I can put my opinion in , and instead of rants and flaming, what do you do? You debate and discuss like rationale human beings. I am deeply offended that no Mod has had to step in and calm things down. And please ban all religious, global warming, Dan Quayle liking people who are too good with MS Paint.

This topic seems to come up on every message board that has an open subject forum. This site is one of the better ones because neither the crybabys or the bullies control it. The moderators seem to moderate rather than dictate and are able to distinguish between a whiner and a bully without being influenced by either. I like the lounge.
