Banded Leporinus

Well since this topic has been brought up, mine is now 8" long. Still has some growing to do.

Yeah, or fish tougher then it. They grow pretty fast too.

Not so much killers but def a known fin nipper!

Fin nipper is a great definition hehe! But they can be kept with other monster fish

1 4-5 inch clown knife
1 2.5 inch gold severum
3 3 inch bala shark
1 3 inch bichir

Is the banded leporinus going to kill off my tank or any of these fish? I am currently looking around for other fish to add to my tank and hopefully something large and colorful.

it might harrass slower fish, in this case the knife, but it is worth a shot

You should be fine. They are fin nippers and don't see how they are killers, because they have really small mouths.

So you're telling me the banded leporinus will kill my clown knife? The CK is my favorite fish. I guess I am going to leave this banded fish in the store.

If its going to injure the other fish, it can stay in the store. Right now there are no fights in the tank. I want my tank to stay nice and peaceful. Shame too, this is a very colorful fish and I am shopping for such fish.
