hey guys and gals, spanky my flowerhorn is starting to slam the air stone on the side of the tank and he grap's the tube and try's to smim away with it!!! he turn's a dark red like blood red when he does this , is it normal and why????...

well to be honest its a brand new tank i got it today...its a 44 gallon and the ph is 7.2 amo- none bright yellow i have to get the rest tested tommorrow but it's a new tank
The tank has not started cycling yet. Get an established filter media from another source making sure it is free from pathogens so you can save your fish before it gets worse. The fish is reacting violently as it is possible it is not accustomed to your tank yet. API liquid test kit is recommended. Test your nitrite and nitrates daily as well.
ok.. well can i take some water from my 75 gallon and mix it or is it to much of a shock and how long do you think i could keep theflowerhorn in the 44 gal he's about 4 1/2 inches but growing, and he's always been a angry fish could this just be the ass**** side of the breed

Mixing water from a seasoned tank is a good idea. I do that all the time.
As far as banging the glass is concerned,, he is just being playful. I do not see any reason to panic here. Add some rock salt if possible,, it will help him to relax a bit.
