I dont think adding water from another tank does anything. In fact, it could be worse. Adding filter media from an established tank does help though

your fish is just being a fish. as for your tank, its not cycled. adding water from the old tank isnt gonna help. you at least need some media from the established tank.

No need to use salt. Table salt is fine but you have no valid reason to use it.

Before doing ANYTHING, I'd google "aquarium cycling" and educate yourself about the number 1 basic about fish keeping. Well......I honestly think everyone should know the basics before you can keep ANY kind of fish. 10 mins. of reading/educating yourself could save your current/future fish's lives.

I'm going to have to concur with JP on this again. This is the second time in a week that someone has thrown FHs into a tank that hasn't been cycled.
