Wow - had no idea they grew that fast. Makes me wonder how fast Li's Gold is growing.

I think his is growing pretty fast.

average for a barramundi is 1.3 meters or a little over 3ft(probably close to 4ft) nile perch gets 6ft. Look up species names rather than general names to find more on specific lates species.

Cheap to buy over here in Aus and they are everywhere, they will try eat anything that fits into their mouths to. Used to have a 3" barra and it ate a 1.5" convict. I've heard of a 15cm barra attacking a 20cm saratoga. They both died as obviously the barra couldn't swallow somthing larger than itself and the toga was stuck.

yeh. they can get to 6foot in the wild. and they are cheap over here(not that im crazy enough to buy one). if i was you i wouldnt buy one but if you got a 40 foot tank go for it.

do you have a reference for 6 feet... i keep seeing 4 feet max

yeh fish base, and the link i mentioned before and the legal catching size is inbetween 90-150cm and only out of breeding season. they can get 6' but more commonly caught at 4'.
