depends were im fishing, if im fishing somewere with lots of current i use barbed if im somewere calm i use barbless.

Too me these are the only options if you have only lost one fish in your life
YOU ARE SUPER GOOD AT FISHING.
YOU ARE VERY VERY LUCKY
THE FISH YOU CATCH BITE THE HOOK IN SUCH A WAY THAT THEY CANT POSSIBLY GET OFF.
THE HOOKS ARE MAGIC
YOU DONT FISH OFTEN.
thats all i can think of.

Yea...thats why i go once a week and also i sometimes fish syndicate lakes:screwy:

Maybe you havnt noticed, but fishing for carp isnt really fishing. They hardly fight and just pull at the line so a barbless hook is adequate. Get a real fish on the end of your line that jumps, shakes his head, tail walks, and swims twoards you faster then you can retrieve, and tell me you still want a barbless hook.

Also throwing out corn as bait and putting your rod in a fancy rod holder REALLY isnt fishing.

This summer I will make you some fishing videos to show you what fishing really looks like.

I fished yesterday for about 2 hours and stopped cause my arms where getting tired from fighting all the fish! I totaled about 15 drum from 5-15lbs, several hybrids in the 1-2lb range, a 15" flathead, a few small sauger and several baby striper. I lost several fish including what would have been my largest striper of the season. Hmm guess that means I cant fish cause I lost some using a barbed hook... :screwy:

I use barbs, but I don't see that much damage on the fish, I would rather not lose a lure on every fish I catch also.

Its easier to keep a fish hooked when it is swimming away from you then when it is swimming towards you. Stingrays are boring to catch, like reeling a damn rug.

I once fought and landed an 8ft nurse shark with just 15lb line. It took 2hrs45min of simply tugging back and forth. Pretty boring but fun because of the size of the animal.

The most fun fish to catch IMO are wahoo. Nothing like the sound of a reel screaming when one of these speed demons hits a bait and makes a 300 yard run at 20MPH! :WHOA: zzzzzzziiiiiiiiiinnnnnnngggggg!!!!!

I want to catch a wahoo:drool::cry: i have never fought a big fish:cry:but that will change!!!:headbang2

Barbed whenever i can. I have seen the damage from a barbless hook slipping its not nice from experience barbed dont do anywhere near as much damage if remover in the correct way.

the carp bellow is from a barbless only fishery,
