Bare Bottom Vs. Sand...

i would say sand but u can also go with out, alot of people do and i havnt heard of any probs. its all up to what u like i guess. when u pick post some pics i wanna see the rays :)

I agree, but I love substrate. Looks better.
 
Doesn't matter, both are fine. I have sand with my rays though. Gives it a more natural look, that and I cant stand bare bottoms. But it is all personal preferece.
 
This debate come up time and time again ,and i believe sand is best as bare bottom is removing the rays
natural instinc to cover itself when resting or scared.
 
Thanks. I've got them in a bare bottom tank right now, but I've been debating whether or not I should put sand in the bottom. More than likely I'm going to stick with bare bottom, but I just wanted to hear some other opinions.
 
I would think sand would be good for them just in case they want to bury themselves from time to time
