Bare tanks (no decor)

Taking out the endli 'territory' has been interesting. It was a security blanket of sorts for him. He was very bold but always had a spot where he felt safe if he wanted to dash under his mopani stump.

Now he is a bit off his game and hasnt got it figured out yet. When I feed the fish he now is super late to come up for food. He also has been hiding in the back of the tank more. But Ive seen no nipping or biting behavior going on and while he does not look to log pile he seems to let the other polys near him now. They also are not runing away from him right now either.

I hope my big Croc gets a bit more social with me again but at least all polys seem to feel safe. With the nice big open space I could possibly see adding something not sure what....

Thanks guys. Yeah he does much better with the others but way off on his game. I put krill in this morning and the koliba ate a lot and the endli just sat until it was almost all gone and then came and got a few. And another new development? Porkchop the pearsei discovered she likes krill... I mean really likes it. She chowed down on it. Just when I thought l had something else just for the polys she goes and tries it and likes it, lol.

I had to rehome a nice L600 because if the damn pearsei and krill...he would go nuts for it

Im almost out of frozen krill and may just stop using it on the big tank and just use it on my little puffer. I watched Porkchop inhale probably 65% of it and the koliba and teugelsi getting what was left. She is my girl but she could potentially eat me out of house and home, lol.

I had to laugh at the endli getting piled on by the weeksii. Basically the weeksii just laid right on top of him and no biting.

This would have been an impossibility with the mopani stump in the tank...

Cant believe the endli can get along but pictures dont lie. He is also starting to get comfortable again and came out and ate the floating pellets with the other fish. Super happy with results!

And WOW he is getting big! The weeksii is 13" for size reference.... last measure against the glass the endli was 16"

So are you planing to put back the dw??

Not sure... Its too big to fit in my puffer tank and it was expensive. So I am thinking to maybe lay it on its side as an uprooted stump instead. But then the pearsei also has been enjoying the swim space so who knows what Im going to do now.
