Barely DIY, but INDY/resealing help still Required

I had some glass tops cut at Lowes and while I was there, picked up some PVC pieces for a durso. Will 1" pvc keep up with my Rio 2100?

So from the Rio 2100 spec sheet, it should be moving 485 gph at 3' of head. And from Chompers sticky on pipe size/flow my 1" durso should get around 600 gph. Considering that both will probably be less then indicated, I think it will be just fine.

Anyone see anything I'm missing?

Sounds OK to me.

So I posted most of the setup over in Setup and Filtration, but here's a shot of my DIY durso and the "final" product...

Thanks for checking it out...

thanx I have a tank w/ no top frame wondered if there was a special type of wood to use

I think you'd be fine using pine honestly, I just went for maple because I originally wanted a darker wood with a nice grain pattern to show through the stain, but I bought the wrong stain so it just looks black.
