Barred Midas keep or sell

i know this person he is a friend , i known him for a long while now, also i have done group orders with him and he orders from vendors like cichlid connection and cichlids of america and ira,

This is exactly my point...

He said he got them from someone like ira, then he says the fish are from ira, then he says a guy buys them from ira and sells them for dbl the price, then it's his friend.

Why would you buy fish for double the price from your "friend" when you can just go through Ira yourself?

Just because someone says it's an F1, doesn't mean it's really an F1... people lie to make more money.

My opinion on that would be that (if this time) it's his friend selling it to him, he could avoid the shipping costs, say he wants a $10 fish so he buys it for $20 where as if he wanted a single $10 fish from Ira or Rapps or whoever the final price could come out anywhere from $20 to $100 depending on his location and who he ordered from, and he doesnt have to worry about live arrival as well.

Bars arern't prolific due to it being semi stressed. That is apprent. Also, bars on juvi's aren't as prominent as they are on adults. I have my Own videos to prove that on juvi F2's. However, its always good to know the source and where they got them. I would keep them both, but thats just me. I think pairs are more fun to watch then signle specimens. I will be getting a female for mine next base I am assigned to.

i actually sold the male back in may, but anywayz i rather pay $15 from a friend who ordered it instead of paying $6 with shipping, he sells them for double to pay off the shipping cost ,

k but the guy ordered them from ira so he is technically like a local ira, except he order fish from ira and sells them for twice the price in our area

This is what is wrong with this hobby. It's a true headache, that's for sure. It seizes to amaze me that I can't visit this site for more than 10 minutes without ending up knee-deep in 2-3 threads EXACTLY like this.

Edit: And, just to be clear, I'm not talking specifically about what I quoted. I'm talking about the OP and this thread in it's entirety.

Im not familiar with the dif. Midas', is a "Red Isletas" the same as a barred Midas?

Hehehe, well I think that the problem is this hobby is really a GREAT BIG GREY AREA, and never black and white. When we talk about life and biology, there are a lot of variations. Even with the "great" Don Conkell, lol.
