Nice I'm hoping this is one. It resembles a amph I believe im just going to have to wait. Will keep posting pics. Thanks keep sending pics of yours as well. Would like to see more as time goes on. You have one great looking fish.

I’m surprised that one of the experts on this site hasn’t chimed in. Only 3 inches.... Will be interesting to see how big it gets. Maybe it’s older than you think? I still think it’s a great looking fish.

Here are a few recent pictures of that fish. Let me know what you guys think she is I know you cant be 100 percent sure. She is super cool looking and she is besties with my killer black belt. Had to move her to a different tank for awhile and they got along. It blew my mind lol. Her stripes are so black and she has a cool greenish color and shows a little red also.20191102_182529.jpg20191102_182402.jpg20191026_193814.jpg

Good looking fish but would have to agree with the above, doesn't look pure to me.
There is amphilophus viridis which has alot of green in it, but doesn't have the markings on the fins. Also there not in the hobby to my knowledge.

I've been out of the game for a while now (10years), but I'll take a chance with the ID game.

First of all, beautiful fish! You've done an amazing job of taking care of this fish. Kudos to you and giving this fish a chance.

To me, this fish is a hybrid. Not sure exactly what it is mixed with, but Midas type fish don't have remnants of pearls on the body. At first glance my gut tells me something along the lines of texas, midas, vieja.... If this is a newly found pure bred of midas, then my 10yrs of sitting the sidelines is apparent.
