 Can't wait to see this project develop. Keep the pix coming!

Ok, so a bit of dissapointment this weekend...
I was waiting for the jackhammer and diamond cutter disc to level the concrete floor out a bit with which diddnt arrive (again).

No sweat though I am busy enjoying a relaxing weekend I guess... Have been painting more sealant onto the walls just to make doubly sure. nothing worth taking pics of though.

Cant really get started on the walls and ceiling till the floor has been sorted out... so I have to wait till I get the tools from my father in law (who uses them in his business!).

Will post pics as soon as I have done another worthwhile phase :)

Well the basement is underground on one side... and the one wall has a bit of a rising damp problem... (having mud behind it...)
We basically sealing it off and building a "room within a room" to stop the damp).

This is why I have to seal it, and then put up a liner and another dry wall...
Bit long winded... but will be the best in the long run! ;)

Looks like I could get the tools tomorrow... so heres holding thumbs... as that will put me another week ahead :)

Alright,.... well a long time no post... but we have a few projects on the go... one of them being the patio outside... and I just figured that the rubble from digging out the basement would sit under there nicely as hard core...

The tools arrived last week and have been chipping away at the floor in the basement:

Baiscally, I want to reinforce it as i am going to be putting about 1,5 - 2 tons on it and dont want the floor cracking :)

This has been a major pain and has eaten up a lot of time!

This has been taking up my time today.... building the patio wall so that I can fill in the space with the rubble from the basement. We got some awesome black slate 60cm X 60cm tiles for it and will finish off the enternace with some wooden decking and perhaps a small water feature pond :)

Next weekend, we going to fill the basement up with some cement, then the folliowng weekend do the walls and ceilings. Have to wait 2 weeks after that for it to cure properly though before I can start with the tank as its gonna weigh a helluva lot :)

Will post more as soon as I have em :D (hopefully more fishy orientated ones aswell :) )

I thought Id post some pics of the "boys" who will be living the life of luxury in the monster tank when its built :)
Just to keep the interest levels up!

Think you guys need better shoes when working with a jack hammer. Other than that, the project seems to b e coming along well. Those are going to be some happy fish when they get their new home.
