Hehe... agreed :P
Well actually that was a last minute pose and i wasnt actually doing anything except holding it and trynna look (unsuccessfully) cool :D

hehe

Thats sweet!!

Cool fish and thanks for posting up the pics.

Keep em coming as you build!!!

Alright... sorry for how long its taken and thanks for all the enthusiasm on this... im so keen to get it done but juggling work and building is proving to be difficult.
I had to first dig out the weak part of the floor (as i think you gathered in the last pics)... today I shifted 20bags of grit and 10 bags of concrete downstairs into the garden and mixed it up... then dropped it into the basement.

My current 55G tank... gave it a clean today after the build... soon to be 400G tank!!! cant wait and neither can the fish I suspect hehe ;)

This friday we are going to put levelling compound down... level out the floor and then start with the plasterboard for the walls and ceiling.... going to sort out the ceiling wiring this week for some sunked in 12v lighting... also will put up the hooks of an arcadia overhead lighting rig .... I think a large tank with glass sliding lids on top and an overhead lighting system will look fantastic :)

One other thing that may take longer with this build is that I want to get the walls plastered once the plasterboard is up... that will just add a couple of extra days onto it i guess but the finished look will be so much better once its all painted up and the lighting is setup.... remember that this is also going to be my music studio so it must look good ;)

I will have more pics on friday :D

lemme get this straight ur gonna move fish from a 55g to a 400g? its like living in a garden and then being released into a nature reserve.

just to point out, on the second and third pictures.....

your basement is covered with ORBS. =[

but nice tank set-up, cant wait to see it when its finished
