Stop comparing humans to fish u make no sense it's completely different and like I said u guys can't comprehend I have a 2 inch Oscar in a 55 gallon for now until he gets bigger and the first person to comment was stating that it looks like when I buy new tanks for when my turtles get bigger it looks like the size is only increasing by 10 gallons so I should save up for a 75-100. So u guys all misunderstood me and I was saying that whenever my turtles grow I get a bigger tank and that is what I was stating.

Everyone chill there was a misunderstanding. 55 will not be enouf but It will be okay in the 55 gallon if he is by himself for a good year. but then you will need a 70 gallon 4ft tank or more. the age game will fail unless you are 6<. Trust me about the aquarium sizes. You should be happy that i am being very nice and pashient with you. You could keep 1 Jack Dempsey in a 55 gallon tank. Jack Dempsey are about the same in aggression level as Oscars. Good Luck

Question, is this pond private, and sealed from any other waterways? If not, it will be highly illegal to put the Bass and Cat's into it when they grow.

That said, you can keep Bass and Cichlids together for a little while, but the Bass is going to grow real big real fast. I would think within a year you would need a 200 gallon tank. Many people in the Native forum keep Bass, and they typically require big solitary and heavily planted tanks when they grow.

For cats, I would go with Bullheads over channels since the don't grow as big. I have 2 in a 75 for now, but they will need to moved shortly.

Yes this is my private pond and I had it stocked like 10 years ago and the fish are all natives so yes I will release them in there I have bass fatheads channel cats and some other kind not sure it's a black kind though around 2 feet biggest I've seen and in there are some alligator snapping turtles some common snapping turtles and eastern painters and musks

They cant survive the cold winters up here. Trust me, there are no Gator Snappers outdoors in New York state, or Jerey, for that matter. Do you have any pictures to back up that claim?
