I cant say it enough my absolute favorite cichla! These guys change so much, even as sub adults the dirty spots change as they mature. Its hard to see changes when you look at them everyday but if you can keep a good photo log and compare its pretty cool to see.

They are quickly growing on me. My smaller one that jist started taking pellets looks like a typical 3" fry. So I get to see the diff side by side. Then I get to watch the small one go through it.
