How is the fish doing?
He's eating again thankfully. Not quite at his 100% vigour but roughly 70%. Had a mini heart attack for a few days though. I'm wondering now though if spawning behavior could be affecting them because I added in two 12" Orinos last week and my male and one female immediately beat them senseless within an hour or two. Before this they've never been aggressive to any bass (even ones only 7"). But I would think pre spawning would have them eating more. If any of you know more on that as well feel free to chime in

Is the one not eating part of the pair? If he's the third guy out he might be getting bullied by the pair. I'm just guessing.

the ones not eating is part of the pair. While they beat the heck out of the orinos the brokos never hurt or chase one another

If they are a pair you should see some sparing / lip locking between them prior to spawning. I haven’t noticed my pair ever going on a hunger strike prior to spawn. They usually do get very territorial to other tank mates, but they are exceptionally aggressive towards each other during the spawn. Expect to see some torn fins.
