Are they the same species, being Leopaldi ray and balck diamond ray, or are they two different type of rays. I have seen an add for a BD/leo for sale, what's that? I know a leo/hei, is a mix but, is that the same for the bd/leo

leo and bd are different species. the add ur seeing is probably for a hybrid leo/bd meaning 1 parent is either a leo and the other is a bd. i have a hybrid bd/leo and enjoy him alot.

i wouldn't call them a different species per se. I think they're just from different localities.

Most concensus is that BD is just a high end Leo. Same as a Royal Marble vs a regular Marble. They still consider them a Leo. But in reality their is no scientific research to say for sure one way or another.

Wow, good info. I guess this will help when I make a purchase of a Leo. By some chance can somewone actually post pic's of a BD vs a LEO vs a BD/LEO, I am in the market for a male LEO..

I would say BD and Leo are a different type they are very close but different

Belly spotting
Spots around the disk edge
Blue eyes
Whiter spots
Blacker base colour
White on the tail spines
Different location

That's enough differences for me to call it a different type

I think they are both still classed a p13 but I still think that's more difference to say p14 and henlei

All the other flash names are crap galaxy royal king super spot thousand island

If this is the case then, who sells the BD rays then. Its seems all I ever see is Leo or Hei, or the combination of the two.
