Wasn't refering to you specifically, just trying to keep people from reviewing other products on this thread.
After all that's what the "Start new thread" button is for. :)

sorry i was just checking if thoses were the ones he was talking about. im in the market for LED lights and was just wondering. sorry again to derail your thread.

It seems like it's a roll of the dice. You either get one that's going to be a great light, or you get one that's going to burn out LED's within a few months. For $70, I rolled the dice, and I've been pretty happy with my light.

My advice:
When you get it, inspect it VERY thuroughly. Jiggle the power supply input and make sure there is no flickering. Turn it upside down and turn it on and off a bunch of times, and make sure all of the LED's are turning on/off at the same time and that they're all the same intensity. If the light doesn't pass, send it back for a new one.

All that being said, it seems like about 95% of the lights sold are ok.

I agree completely

Thanks for doing the review on this LED!
I have a 29G grow-out tank (30" L x 12" D x 18" H). Should I go with the 24"-30" fixture or 36"-39" one? I'm thinking the 24" won't cover the whole tank and I don't really mind going with the 36" if it sticks out 3" per side. I rather have even coverage but I'm still debating. What do you think?

The 24" shoukd give you close to 100% coverage. Although I've never seen it done. Lots if the pics are 36" lights on 48" tanks. So if they look ok with 6" gap on either side i'd say 3" shouldn't be bad at all. Either way keep us posted with whatever you decide! And I'm very glad I could help :)
