Does he ever get black bars instead of the speckling?

Mine had the speckling when he was like 2 inches, but switched to getting those black bars after that.
Now he only gets the bars or turns like a weird whitish/gold and black besides his normal gold/green color. He's kind of weird haha. Ill send some pics of his color changes.

You should start up a new thread with pics of your car.
I wanna check it out. I'm a big car guy haha. I'm part owner of an import shop up in Edmonton, Canada. Specialize in drift and time attack cars. I've got a nissan s13.5 I'm building right now for myself and currently building up an MK4 Toyota supra for a buddy. Tons of other stuff as well.

Yea he actually does get black bars quite often, especially after he devours his NLS ;) hoping that is a good sign!
I love how yours goes from pure gold to a greenish gold, very unique and stunning.
Nice man glad to hear you are a fan as well...s13 is sick and Supra's are beasts!

Maybe I can post a quick teaser pic here prior to one of us making a thread for all MFK owners to share their rides w/o going off topic...hopefully its ok with the mods :grinno:

There's a new beani on the block! This guy has been showing some very nice pure-gold colors, especially in his top fin.
He actually seems to be growing the quickest too

When are you planning on splitting them up?

From experience, don't wait until the last minute lol. I thought mine would be all good with his brother and sister, and a male and female umbee that were both bigger than him and he ended up killing them all. I luckily got rid of his sister before he killed her.

He had actually paired off with my female umbee for like 8 months. Thought they were gonna breed for the longest time, then I came home from work and he had killed her.

Thanks for the heads up man, I will not wait till the last minute for sure! Do you have any females left or did they all get killed?
Im hoping to keep a pair together but now that i have this top 3, im hoping one of them is a female that I can keep with my dominant male #1 in the first post.
I got an even better pics of beani #2 that you think will look like your male, he is showing some sick blue in his bottom fins...
This is making it so hard to pick and choose between him and beani #3 from my last post above..what do you think?
