Well, I picked up these guys a month ago, and they are all doing great. (there are 5)
Wish I would have taken pics before today, they have all got way bigger.
I too read about the hardships of keeping them, although actually have done the reverse of the diet, and gone with high protein. These are pics right after they ate, they do not have bloat, they just gorge themselves, it is very similar to watching a school of piranha eat, really haven't seen many other fish come close to it. As a result, I do a day on day off, two days on two off, every day for a few, etc. Just keeping it varied on the feeding schedule, hoping that if I keep the digestion tract guessing I can keep it functioning. There is more behind my reasoning but that is the surface of it.
I will post what works for me, so far, however it may just be that the rainbow gravel has healing powers.
PH 7.2
Temp 80
Diet: Mainly bloodworms
Anyhow, enjoy the garbage pics, more of having this to track growth rate than anything, but I will hopefully get better ones later.
