Wow, I read the reverse of that, so this is terrible to hear. I thought I would be ok when they got that size, and this was the size to be more worried about. Its just them in their own tank and I don't disturb it if I can, so hopefully that helps.

Yeah, noticed them establishing a pecking order already. Bloodworms is just for now, I do plan on switching their diet later when larger.

You might consider doing that right now. There's no definitive answer to what causes bloat. It's always better to be extra careful. Personally, I would never feed them like that on a regular basis. The line of reason is that it is thought that the disease is induced by a protozoal parasite in most cases. The protozoan resides in the intestines of healthy fishes and "goes south" when the fish is under stress. Every time they get stuffed like that it put an unnecessary strain on their system...especially a high protein diet. You are better off feeding them smaller amounts more often. When it comes to protein, I include it in the fish's diet, but in smaller amounts...being sure to feed some kind of vegetable matter and protein with roughage...like the shell or insect carapace.

With a fish that is notoriously prone to bloat...all the more reason to be careful.

Good luck. It a really nice fish.
