So what steps do I need to take to do this legally?
Sneaking fish on a plane and smuggling them out of Mexico and into the US to sell them is a crime and I don't want to risk not doing things correctly.
Who do I contact (other than US Fish and Wildlife Service) about doing this right?

I think, don't know for sure, you can bring lots of fish in the country as a hobbiest. Different countries have different laws as to what you can take out. With an 8 fish limit I am pretty sure you are dealing with an issue on the Mexican side.

OK, sorry, I don't spend too much time on the site at moment. Rodger is correct. There are no sites and you are fine on the US side... you've done all and have all you need. I'm set up in Mexico and other countries with legit exporters with all necessary docs.
I won't touch on "smuggling" fish out of that country, but all who have brought fish back know what it takes to get them here, even with a F & W licence and claim form.
If you want to do things legit, it takes a lot of work and a network of people.

And remain confused lol... Do your home wrk Matt, your good at that!! Spending all day behind the computer and still don't know how to bring fish back legally from the desired country you wish to collect from.

The permit from the US is covered (USFWS Import Export Permit). The one from the country of origin (i.e. Mexico) is what I don't know how to do. Joe said that he's got it covered. So...what does someone need to do?
