Jason, that wasn't an insult to anyone with the sand bucket. Its just an exaggeration as to how hardy beardies are.
Yes, sand impactions DO HAPPEN! I acknowledged that. But however hardy beardies are, the majority of beardie keepers are still lacking in husbandry, which will in turn weaken the beardie and leave it suspectible to problems a normal dragon would laugh at. Ie: sand impactions. Notice how breeders in the books such as Bob Mallioux (sp?) of Sandfire keep beardies on sand/dirt without problems. Those guys keep beardies in tip-top shape and the lizards are nearly indestructible.
Lol, my dragon tried to eat some tassels off a blanket once! xD Glad I stopped him though. He wasnt in the best of shape back then and wouldnt have fared too well if he ate it.
