So i'm semi-new here...been ghosting as a non-member for awhile, and obviously there are some high standards and projects to lie up to here. I currently have two bearded dragons, an 8month and a 2 month old...Below are their current tanks...nothing 'monster' but thats what the future is for right?

And the baby girls tank...

I realise both are just aquariums...so thats why i am anxiously awaiting my tax return!!! They both will be getting custom enclosures...4 1/2' x 3 x 3

My general idea is based on the first cage here, minus the divider

One tank will be an oreintal theme cause Marvin loves his buddha

why not use calci sand? it wont cause impaction and it looks much nicer than tile and the carpet and it is easier to clean.

For hayley my girl she might be ok with calci sand...but marvin my boy likes to 'fling' things. Food, poop, etc........so the sand might be a pain. It's also easier to clean the tile and it keeps their nails down to where i don't have to get them trimmed

I like your 'em. I don't know anything about lizards but i think your current setup is good. Just adapt it to the new one. :)

In that case, I would just make the new cage similarly furnished on a larher scale. you shouldnt have a problem...

Still going to use the slate tile since it retains some heat, and wears down their nails...but since marvin loves his buddha I am thinking of encorporating into his basking spot/ramp. I plan to make the basking spot built into the walls for stablility, but then make it look like it's built onto the buddha. Does that makes sense? I can try and doodle/sketch my idea. Better yet, found a picture to illustrate my idea...

Thoughts on that?

Dont use calci sand, if your ever going to consider it use normal play sand

i have always kept my beardeds on snd. never had an issue. IMO it gives them something to do, dig around and such. keeps them active and will keep there nails kind of short.

other than that i got nothing
