This was a gorgeous Thai silk flowerhorn I picked up about 3 years ago I no longer have him got rid of him to bring In more smaller fish to grow out .. he deserved a bigger home as well he’s now in a 240gal cichlid tank , I was at a local pet shop across state lines over in Indiana , green tree pet shop .. awesome place had been around 65yrs+ known for carrying lots of rare fish anyways on this particular day I was going around trying to find a male flowerhorn green tree pet shop was my last stop sadly they didn’t have any but a random customer heard me
Talking to the employees and just as I was about to leave he told me he had a flowerhorn for me , hours later he dropped it off at my house about 2-3 inches wasn’t sure if it was male or female I gave only $35 for him 1 1/2 years later he turned out to be a stunning Thai silk flowerhorn , he literally appeared to be glowing when he got all fired up during feed time if anyone else had some awesome flowerhorns feel free to share pics of yours as well I look forward to getting back into the horns soon hopefully !
