Beautiful 'white' freshwater datnoid. ID Please!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The dat live aquaria has pictured is an indo dat same as this. But the scientific name given is for a thin bar datnoid.

As far as price $60 for that size is over priced. I was able to pic up 4" pellet trained indos for under $25 by shopping around. Regularly priced from $35-50, though prices can vary greatly by location.

Being in south florida, not sure of what a reasonable price is. If this is the only one, he might have me stuck...

Sucks I'm all the way in CA or I'd sell you one of mine for cheap. Just keep looking around, I just looked on Craigslist near your area and didn't find one. Keep looking there though you should eventually find one and for a much better price.

As you may know they can reach +18" but grow rather slowly. From what I've collected if you get one to 6" in the first year you've done a good job. Growth slows with age and one in a 125g should be good for quite a while however you'd be best upgrading to keep it growing. Imo tank depth is better than height if you ever upgrade from a 125g.
Tank depth better than height ,,what exactly are you saying, how do you get one without the other,,,,, duhh

Depth would be in reference to the width of the tank.

Ya, sorry I should have phrased that different. Also at work we just got a 500+ tank for a.. reef set up.. :irked: and the tank is like twice as tall as it is deep, it's like a giant scaled 55g. I'd even sacrifice 100g to get a wider, shorter tank.

I'll look into it, I've never done it so it would be my first time. Idk if shipping costs would be worth it if you could get one locally. I'll see if it's something I can do. :)

That'd be great, i'd potentially maybe pick up 2 or more or possibly other compatible live stock options if you had them available to help justify the shipping costs. PM me with any info :)
