it IS frustrating. fishkeeping is basiclly the only thing i actually know about. when i talk i stutter alot. cant think straight. been told i have a mind of a 12-14 year old to. i have autism. and was in Special Ed classes in school, but that doesnt stop me from doing what i love, i may be slow but i DO love my fish! and it may take sometime but i WILL have the right stock, and i Will have the tank full soon!

just keep hanging in there. If ya enjoy your fish, then don't let anyone take them away from ya. Most of all keep posting, your threads are always very entertaining:thumbsup:

one thing, im getting a job soon ( less then 2 weeks, 3 weeks tops ) and a 2nd thing, fish actually keep me company and keeps my cooled down, i have autism and im also obbsesed with fishkeeping... and if you want to know i do have depresion and axiety disorder and fish keep me from becoming depressed and keeps my axiety disorder down..... so yes i have alot of medican problems and fish keep me from expressing them....

If you were caring and "obbsesed" with fishkeeping you'd at least have a nitrite & nitrate test kit...........knowing that oscars are very susceptible to hex which is caused by bad water quality and especially Nitrates!

Im sorry about your well being and all but maybe you should take care of your self before worrying about fish mate. A job, a bit of counciling and maybe a sit down with your family first to clear up your routine, then worry about hobbies. Prioritize homeboy, work, then play ;)

The 1 oscar, 1 firemouth and 1 aureus should be good in your 112g as long as it is filled up to capacity, weekly water changes and constant temperature. I think if your 112g is filled then you could even manage to keep the severum in there, you have a decent filter and a decent sized tank. You have to meet those 3 basic conditions when an oscar is involved though or your water will go down hill fast.

Please don't get the 65g (3ft) unless you cannot fill the 112 up completely, there is no way 1 oscar can live in a 3ft tank. You would need to get rid of both oscars if you went with the 3ft.

I stand by my thoughts that you are not in any position to have fish at the moment but because I know you won't stop and may even try to go it alone, I will try and help you for the sake of your fish.
And remember pm me if you want before making a thread, that way I can help you stay out of trouble so you don't get mauled in open forum like in this thread.

How many times has he said that?

if i got the 3 foot ( which prolly i wont ) id deff get rid of my cichlids, and go for a community tank, but after finding out the dimitions i prolly wont be getting it ( sounds like a 45 gallon anyways 3 foot long foot wide and 2 foot high ) just staying with my tank. first thing im getting out of my first check once i get my job less then 2.5 weeks is a nitrite/rate tester ( any ideas on what brand? heard API is good, and i DO have API ammonia tester )
