hey
sorry to here, its really sad when you have to get rid of fish. my mum said i had to get rid of my fish but im allowed to keep a 5 foot tanks so im not to sad.
anyway, good luck with your dad

Are you saying there is no talking reason to your dad about your scenario? You think there is no solution into asking your dad to keep it? I mean I don't know your dad and your relationship with him, but I don't believe your dad is a tyrant, that would not allow reason to solve differences. I usually think of things on how I can change my dad's (God bless his soul) mind on some things, but he also has a side of not budging...good luck to you Del, and hope everything come to a reasonable compromise.

When I lived at home, my dad told me that I couldn't go any bigger than 15 gal. He said "when you move out, you can do whatever you want in your own home". That's exactly what I did when the time came. No reason to move out, but something to look forward to when that time comes for you.

One step back, then two forward. As soon as you're out of college BAAAAMM: Monster Tank!

ps
I don't think this is the right time to count your eggs, rottbo. The chickens are not hatched, yet ... As DeLgAdO said:"theyre all free to a good home, but ill let everyone hear the news before i make the move. im still deciding which ones to keep if any at all"

Sorry to hear that. I know how much effort and time it takes to grow a monster. So the only thing I can recommend is “Do what ever it takes to keep your fish”. After all think of all the good times. :asianarow I wish you the best.

i was just offering to take god care of his fish i know that he hasnt made up his mind thats why i appologized for bugging him about it and i am sorry but most people here dont have the kinda room that i do for the bigger silvers

and my adoption program will return any fish to original owner if they want so if he gets another big tank in the future he could just get his original fish back
right now i am holding a SA cichlid comunity for a local kid who went away to college and he is going to get them back next year when he has graduated
