Sorry to here all this. But I agree with above, 1 step back 2 steps foward. Finish college get the big bucks then have a 300 gal and filtration to match. Then grow a bigger monster.

sorry to hear that i hope it works out for the best

been thinking about getting rid of all my fishes.

my dad is really pushing things and i cant take it anymore.
i think ill just give them away to a good home, no back to the lfs for them, because that would be deathrow.

my dad is a man you cant change or argue with, so thats why im doing this. I told him and he said "well its your desicion son" with a saracastic tone, he's glad im getting rid of them so he can make room for his *** pond:angryfire

i mgiht keep afew of my boys since the biggest tank i cant own at my moms is a 55 gal ;) not sure what though

and i currently have a 40 gal for temperary use.

just though id let this sink into you guys before i do my thing.

AAWWWW! Mike I am so sorry to hear this, that really blows! I don't know what I would do if I was faced with that decision. I hate leaving things behind, or giving up stuff I really treasure. Well, if you have to get rid of them, at least you know there is a whole community of us willing to offer a good home, and stay in touch with updates for ya. I wish you the best of luck Mike, and hope in the future you can build back up again!!:( :(

This is just a temporary set back. Fish Keeping is like the friggin' mafia. Blood in, blood out. When you're in it, you're in it for life, holmes. In a few years you'll be back at it. You're the only person I've heard of who has figured out how to keep Colomian sharks happy and healthy in fresh water long term. If you end up cutting back, just keep your eyes on the future.
